IBM Software offers two
point-based volume licensing options, Passport Advantage and Passport Advantage
Express, that offer consistent worldwide features and pricing, simplified
acquisition requirements, and multilingual licensing. Passport Advantage allows
large organizations to combine worldwide purchases of licenses, support, and/or
software subscription in order to obtain the highest discount level. Passport
Advantage Express allows small and medium business to buy licenses without a
minimum buy in purchase. Both programs require subscription and support to be
purchased on all new license purchases.

Advantage Express
Passport
Advantage Express is designed for single-site, Small and/or Medium sized
customers. This offering combines the full Passport Advantage product list with
the simplicity of transaction-based licensing at a single price point. Passport
Advantage Express does not require a signed agreement, as each transaction is
subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time. Also, licenses include
Software Maintenance coverage for 12 full months. Software Maintenance is
comprised of subscription and technical support, as well as additional features.
Passport Advantage
Passport
Advantage is designed for large customers who want to aggregate their purchases
worldwide and across multiple locations to get the best pricing. New
enrollments in Passport Advantage will require at least a 500 point initial
transaction and your level will be based on the number of points on this initial
transaction. License acquisitions will include Software Maintenance
coverage for 12 full months (not just to the customer’s next Anniversary date).
At the customer’s next Anniversary, Software Maintenance coverage for all
recently-acquired licenses that extends beyond that Anniversary will be aligned
to the following Anniversary date using a prorated renewal. Software
Maintenance is comprised of subscription and technical support.

Agreements are perpetual and points accumulate to achieve a deeper discount.
IBM may re-level customers if necessary every quarter. A customer can be re
leveled one level down if enough points are not accumulated.
